PDARC 2 Meter Monday Night Net

Monday Nights from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Central on any of the PDARC linked repeaters – Norwegian Hill, Yankton, and Vermillion. Check in and share what you have been up to for the past week.  Remote Hams is available for remote access and is listed under Prairie Dog Amateur Radio Club. Prior approval from PDARC is needed for Remote Hams transmit privileges. All are encouraged to join in this fun net! 

Wednesday nights for 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. Check in via a hotspot linked to YSF88411 (listed under the name PDARC) or directly through the 443.900 (+) System Fusion Repeater located near Tabor. If you have any questions or need assistance connecting to YSF88411 please contact Fred WA0GMH (flderoos47@gmail.com). This is a roundtable net where we go around the “table” and chat. Some choose to stick around and chat while others do a quick check in and out. Join the fun! 

Every night at 10:15 p.m. Check in on the national 2 Meter SSB frequency of 144.200 USB.  This is a very informal net where folks in the area get together to discuss their day along with any ham topics on their minds. You’ll often find folks working through plans for an upcoming project, or getting answers to questions that they might have. There are generally some very experienced operators on board who are willing to share their knowledge with others. 

Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. on the SD-LINK repeaters. Sponsored by the South Dakota Amateur Radio Council, this net ensures that the link system is ready to provide major communications support during disasters and services throughout most of the southern half of the state with great coverage of the eastern and western high population areas.  

Weekday Mornings from 7:50  to 8:00 a.m. The Sioux City 97 Net is one of the oldest and most popular amateur radio nets in the greater Sioux City area. The excellent coverage area and congenial participants that are located in the area both contribute to the net’s success. The Siouxland Amateur Radio Association operates the “97″ K0TFT repeater near Sioux City on 146.970 with a -0.6 MHz offset and tone of 110.9 hertz. 

Sunday nights at 8:30 p.m. on 144.270 MHz.  Net control transmits from Wessington Springs, SD.  Many choose to listen to the net via Remote Hams (Wessington Springs) so that they can hear the net control station regardless of where the beam is pointed.  Net control works stations by rotating the beam in 45 degree increments.
